Kickstarter: The Commodore Story – Changing the world 8-bits at a time
Hello everyone,
Here’s another Kickstarter-project that has sparked quite a bit of interest:
The Commodore Story is a cram packed 2 hour documentary film that will take us through Commodore’s evolution from the 70’s to the 90’s from the PET, Vic20, C64 to the Amiga and beyond including the very rare C65 and the wave of new Commodore related products that are hitting the market today.
In this nostalgic film we will be interviewing an extensive range of ex-Commodore engineers and staff, games makers, magazine publishers and Commodore user stories from past and present.
We already have over 20 collaborators and rising, including games programmers, 8-bit music composers, Commodore book and magazine authors.
We also have collaboration from Commodore enthusiasts all round the world that still use their computers on a daily basis and development teams that are busy prototyping and developing the next generation of Commodore machines.
We need your help to secure interviews with Commodore’s key personal, engineers and and designers of the Vic20, Commodore64 and of course the Amiga.
Commodore does not get the recognition it rightly deserves and often get overlooked by Apple and IBM. The Commodore Story aims to put this right and prove how important Commodore was in the computer revolution. We will give the real story of the demise of Commodore but will also focus on the positive influence Commodore has given to the world over the years.
I like the fact that they want to highlight the importance of Commodore.
Please visit the Kickstarter-page here for more information. I’m considering backing this one myself.
