MorphOS on x5000 – again
So, after my last post about the rumors of MorphOS on x5000, it appears that it wasn’t an April fool’s joke after all. Here are a couple more pictures:

One of the really cool things about being part of a very small community is that it’s relatively easy to become pals with all the cool cats. One such pal is Szilárd Biró, better known as BSzili, and famous in the NG Amiga camp for porting a lot of games to AmigaOS 4, AROS and MorphOS.

Things have been quiet in MorphOS-land for a while now. I’m speaking in terms of new OS releases. The current release (as of this writing), is MorphOS3.7, which is a fantastic OS. I run it on a G4 PowerBook.

Yesterday we got confirmation that MorphOS is being ported to the A-Eon X5000 motherboard. This means that MorphOS will soon support not one currently selling motherboard, but two.

As covered previously, I am having big problems with my X1000 after a Flash upgrade - it no longer boots. I thought it might be helpful today to explain a little more about what I was trying to do and what happened, and the troubleshooting steps I did so far, as it may be of assistance to other X1000 owners when troubleshooting their machines in future.
