Just a heads-up this evening, as I discovered that a pack with brand new maps and characters had been released for the Doom-clone Gloom Deluxe! Very cool! Looking forward to try it out on my A1200.
Following on from my initial installation blog entry for the recently released Icaros Desktop 2.0 on my Acer AspireOne ZG5, I had a bit more of a play with it this weekend also.

I was too lazy for a power demonstration like this one, so I kindly borrow his work... Enjoy!

DAPlayer (Digital Audio Player) is a MUI based music player by Thomas Rapp who released version 1.12 a while ago. Unlike Jukebox (but like Aminet Radio) it can play Audio CD and a variety of Amiga music files, like MOD:s. As we shall see, this player still needs some work done before being able to compete with other players.
First you need to download the player from here. Extract it to where ever you like:

Today AMIStore App Store was released on AmigaOS4.1 - regular blog readers will know I have already tried out a sneak preview of AMIStore, but now I can run the released version, purchase and try out some of the new applications, drivers and utilities on my X1000!
This past week we finally see released the new Icaros Desktop 2.0 upgrade (AROS), so I was keen to try it out on my existing Icaros 1.5.4 installed netbook (I showed this at AmiWest 2014) - the Acer AspireOne ZG5.
After feedback from Amiga people at AmiWest 2014 regarding having two separate Amiga blogs, I have decided to maintain one Amiga blog moving forward covering all Amiga related topics, Next Generation and Classic Amiga.
To this end I have already migrated all the Classic Amiga blog entries (and comments, etc) to the main Amiga X1000 blog.

After watching Tekmage's games presentation at AmiWest 2014, I found one game that I hadn't tried out yet on my X1000! The game is called Me and My Shadow.
