During my daily visit to Amiga.org, one of the biggest and most popular Amiga discussion forums, I noticed something.. Please have a look at the picture below, and you’ll see what I mean:

Amiga.org – New owners?

Yes, that is correct.. A-EON Technology Ltd is listed as the owner of Amiga.org! How surprising is that? I also noticed a thread on the topic in the forum and one can read that AmigaKit acknowledges the takeover. For more information, please click here.

After what I’ve found out so far, a public announcement will be released soon. I’m looking forward to get all the details on this and I’m sure many others do as well.

It will be interesting to see how this will affect Amiga.org as a discussion forum in the future. Both AmigaKit and A-EON Technology are heavily involved in the AmigaOS 4.x development, which the AmigaOne X1000 is an example of. Will the forum be more AmigaOS 4.x orientated in the coming months? Only time will tell.
