Amiga Format: Christmas 1993 – Issue 54

Hi all,

We are approaching December and I thought we could celebrate that by having a quick peek at an old computer magazine I have in my collection. It is the Christmas edition of Amiga Format from 1993. The item is over 20 years old, but it doesn’t feel like it when I’m reading it. Perhaps I’m stuck in an Amiga time bubble or something. :D

As some of you might know, Amiga Format was at the time of print (1993) the worlds best selling Amiga magazine. This would change later on as CU Amiga grew in strength, but that’s another story.

I have taken a few pics of the mag for you to look at, so here goes:

Mr. David Pleasance gives his thoughts on 1993 and what is head in 1994. As you know Commodore went bankrupt in 1994. :( (photo by Old School Game Blog)

The magazine totals 259 (!) pages, which is quite a lot. There are many adverts to see, but tons of cool articles as well. I really miss being able to go to the kiosk and purchase Amiga Format, CU Amiga or The One. The only option these days are Amiga Future, but it is only available through mail-order.

Now I’m off to read a bit more in the magazine – catch you later in another post. :) Thanks for reading!
