By far the exciting news of this week (in my opinion) has been the PPC support implemented in BETA form on the WinUAE Classic Amiga emulation. This enables AmigaOS4.1 Classic to be used under WinUAE on a Windows PC! I had to try this out!

Back in Part 2, I setup the 256 Colour Workbench on AmigaOS 3.1 on my Amiga 600. Although it is a bit slow for day to day Workbench use, I found I can use it very well for running 256 colour screens for programs that can use it - like Photogenics 2.

Today I wanted to take a look at the SCSI Controller expansion (by CBMChef) for the CDTV and the AztecMonster CD SCSI card (and a quick look at an A2000HD too):

Flacapella is a ripping tool that comes with MorphOS. Even though it’s meant to rip CD:s and encode the songs as FLAC files it works with just a few tweeks as an excellent CD to MP3 ripper & encoder.
