This weekend I decided to tackle a project I have wanted to do but put off for some time - installing AmiKit 8.1 Real on my Amiga 4000T!
On Friday evening (March 11) we had our monthly Adelaide Retro Computing Group meeting, featuring Apple vintage computers and plenty of other Retro Amiga systems, Amstrad, Atari Jaguar and more!
Sorry for the delay in posts but I have been very busy with work and also my replacement AmigaOne X1000 has failed and will no longer boot up which has resulted in everything else stopping pretty much as I have been trying to work out what was wrong with it.
Since I received my AmigaOne A1222 it has had a temporary home in my Sam 460 tower case, but that was never the final location planned. I needed a new case for the A1222 and recently I came across a very cool Mini-ITX case that I believe suits the A1222. The case is a In Win H-Frame Mini-ITX, and It arrived this week. Build time!
This week I received my MIST system. This system can emulate Classic Amiga AGA system in FPGA (along with other systems like Atari ST, C64, CPC and more). I was very keen to try out the first FPGA Amiga 1200 AGA compatible system!
One of my "wonder if it actually works" projects recently made significant progress on the Classic Amiga 1000. I got the ACA500 working on the Amiga 1000!
Since my last post on the AmigaOne A1222, I have been busy with the recent Adelaide Amiga meeting, but with that behind me, I am now working to get my Classic Amiga emulation environment on the A1222 sorted out.
Last night was the first meeting of the Adelaide Amiga user group for 2016 and it was a very full meeting place!
