When I saw that WinUAE was to the point of actually installing OS4.1 Classic, I immediately put in an order to AmigaKit.com to get my copy. I ordered on Friday and it arrived Monday, just 3 days later. That’s UK->US in 3 days and I didn’t specify rush shipping at all! Good job AmigaKit!
It finally happened! A few weeks ago, Toni Wilen, current maintainer (and all around extremely smart guy) of WinUAE, decided he wanted to add CyberStorm/Blizzard/CyberStormPPC/BlizzardPPC and WarpEngine RAM configurations to WinUAE (simulating RAM accessible on those boards).
Well, word got out, and people started asking if he was going to add PowerPC Emulated CPU to those emulated PPC boards. He initially said no. He’s said for a very long time he doesn’t like PowerPC and wasn’t interested.

The MorphOS team has a more active release schedule than the Hyperion AmigaOS team.
They’ve just released MorphOS 3.6 for download, just months after releasing v3.5.1.
I think I’m most interested in their support for Airport Extreme wifi cards built into many powerpc macs.

What is it about the Classic Amiga UI? As far back as the late 90’s, I just can’t stop staring at how the UI looks? I know that others UI’s would be considered prettier and more useful than the Amiga UI, but there’s just something that I can’t quite pinpoint. Okay, so it is with great sadness that I had to abandon my Amiga 1200 Classic Tower project. Funds and time didn’t allow me to work on everything I needed to, so something had to go. In fact more than one something.
My first step was to sell the Angled PCMCIA adapter. The motherboard I had seemed to have a damaged PCMCIA port so I couldn’t use it anyway. Next, my main tower, which was a Micronik Infinitive, along with the A1200 rev2B board, as well as the Micronik 6860 ZorroII busboard, powersupply and adapters went into it as well.
