It's sometimes said that bad news always comes in threes? Whether this old wives' tale is true or not the computer world has lost a few interesting characters in recent weeks.

I've had some more progress with the networking. Instead of boring you with text about it, I thought I'd show you a clip of the progress and give an insight in how a day coding JAmiga might look.
Enjoy:
Well, its almost like that.
Today i have bought a new usb-sd and installed icaros 1.5 and very happy how icaros handles installation/68k via hidden scripts and for more i would click here http://vmwaros.blogspot.co.uk/
After more than four months of chasing my own tail on this problem, I had managed to fix up the JIT compiling to let the Kickstart boot using compiled code. (See disclaimer below...)
*Phew*, there were times when I thought I am not going to write this down ever in the blog. I was this >> << close to give it up on some days. Since the world hasn't ended in 2012, I realized I have to go on, there is no escape.
Given that it is almost the end of the year, I thought it would be good to look back over the year 2012 and significant releases for AmigaOne X1000 and it operating system AmigaOS4 during that time.
I do know (and acknowledge) that there has been plenty of activity around MorphOS, AROS and Classic AmigaOS3.x platforms too in 2012 (I run all three of these platforms as well), but these are not the focus of this AmigaOne X1000 blog as it runs AmigaOS4. It would be interesting to compare MorphOS 3.1 and AmigaOS 4.1.6 performance on the same X1000 hardware, but that's another story!
I decided to try out a recently released tool called Screen Switching Done Right (SSDR) on my X1000!
